Set just two hours north of Boston in the heart of historic Kennebunkport, Maine, the Captain Fairfield Inn is designed in keeping with the grand heritage of the 1813 Federal-style mansion. Many original details, such as wide plank pine floors and unique moldings, have been carefully preserved for guests to appreciate for years to come. While maintaining a reverence for the history of the home, I began working with the Inn's owners in 2007 to transform this sea captain's mansion into a boutique bed and breakfast. Starting with a modern redesign of the Sweet Liberty and Breakwater rooms pictured below, I will continue to spread this "classic with a twist" style throughout the home in 2008.
